As children of God, we are His servants called to action. Our mission is to express Christ’s love through “Caring for Others” and providing a service where needed.
The Missions Team strives to provide regular opportunities for St. Timothy “Servants” to reach out to people in need through a balanced program emphasizing local needs while also considering needs around the world. The programs are committed to providing care and service to children, senior citizens, needy families and groups that depend upon others for support.
Several of the programs are annual programs because the need is ongoing. There is a continuous evaluation of new needs to insure we are providing the most appropriate assistance in fulfilling our mission of “Caring for Others.” Ongoing programs involve the Samaritan Center and their many needs, honoring our military personnel and The Methodist Home for Children in Mandeville. Providing less fortunate families with food at Thanksgiving and with food and children’s gifts at Christmas are major annual events.
St. Timothy is actively committed to the mission outreach of the United Methodist Church as well as those of our conference and our community. St. Timothy youth and other groups have additional mission programs and mission trips.
