United Methodist Women
Purpose
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
As a member of St. Timothy’s UMW, you will have the opportunity to:
• Develop and nurture Christian friendships through fellowship
• Grow spiritually
• Serve in mission to others
UMW Emblem
The emblem of the United Methodist Women incorporates the familiar cross and flame of the United Methodist Church with an overall shape that is fluid and free-flowing symbolizing change and mobility. We are a group of Christian women with many gifts who are unified by one Spirit and participate in God’s mission in all areas of life.
Circles
The United Methodist Women of St. Timothy meet monthly in groups called Circles, which have their own programs, mission emphasis and personality. The Circles meet together as a unit for fellowship, business, and special programs. The Circles combine their efforts on an annual fundraiser/mission project in the fall.
