SHORT-TERM STUDIES

Financial Peace University – (FPU) is Dave Ramsey’s life-changing program that teaches you to achieve your financial goals by eliminating debt, saving for the future, and giving like never before.  More than 1 million families have attended FPU with amazing results.  You will be challenged and motivated to make a plan for your money and change your family tree forever!

Be a Queen, Country of One - Book 2 of 3 – Teen girls learn that they long for the country of the Holy One and that He has given them time now in this earthly life to get to know Him and prepare for eternal life with Him.  They learn to limit negative emotions and to fully live in joy, peace, blessing, and gratitude no matter what circumstances they encounter.  This book has an island theme.

3:16, the Church Experience – 3:16, the numbers of Hope.  A 6 week study by Max Lucado about how God loves because he chooses to.  How He gave his one and only Son and how we trust Jesus to do what we can’t.

Cure for the Common Life:  Living in your Sweet Spot – You work all day, arrive home exhausted, watch TV to unwind, and then go to bed—only to awake the next morning and do it all again.  Is there a remedy for routine?  Lucado says yes—and helps you embrace your uniqueness and use your singular talents to experience the “uncommon” life God intends for you.

Daniel – Just as the prophet Daniel faced unbelievable pressure to compromise his faith in a hostile culture and was constantly confronted by temptations and threats, today’s believers face similar trials.

Fearless – Let Max Lucado show you how to f find a sense of peace and security in today’s troubled world.  In six stand alone sessions, Max takes a close look at our greatest fears and offers scripturally based reassurance and guidance through even the toughest moments of our lives.

Believing God – Based on Isaiah 43:10, Believing God explores what it means to believe God.  Through studying the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others from Hebrews 11 as examples of persons who believed God, Beth encourages women to deepen their own trust in God and receive a fresh work from Him.

Parent GPS – Did you know that you are a GPS (God Positioning System)?  Usually, “GPS” stands for “Global Positioning System” and today people use a GPS to avoid getting lost on the way to a destination.  God has provided a “GPS” (God Positioning System) to children, called parents, so children do not have to get lost on their way to enjoying life with Him.  In eight classes facilitated by sets of parents from our congregation, we are going to explore more fully the potential of family and parenting, the importance of partnership between parents and the church, and our job of pointing our children in His direction.

Heaven – As the years pass and we watch more and more of our family, friends and mentors pass away, it is only natural to ask questions about heaven.  However, our understanding of heaven is often limited to a few half-forgotten Sunday school lesions and the insubstantial images provided by popular movies and T.V.  Fortunately, in Heaven Randy Alcorn provides us with a thoroughly researched and biblically definitive description of heaven.

SMALL GROUPS

A Wesley Group is a voluntary, intentional gathering of eight to twelve people regularly meeting together with the shared goal of Christian fellowship, study, prayer and ministry to one another.

Born from the need to bring the people of St. Timothy closer together, a small group ministry or Wesley Groups was formed. Knowing the people around you in church may seem like a natural thing, but unfortunately it’s not always the case. The purpose of Wesley Groups is not purely social. By becoming a part of this ministry you will meet weekly with 8-12 others to study God’s Word, minister to one another, pray for those in need and support each other in faith. It is an opportunity to grow and to help others grow closer to Christ.

For more information contact Mark Stover at 985.796.1377 or Peggy Price at 985.626.8556 or fill out the form on the left and note Wesley Group in the study name.
